Having successfully provided state-of-the-art cooling solutions and storage facilities with ‘food safe coatings’ to hotels and restaurants within the Madinat Jumeirah Resort Phase II, Trade Circle Technical Industries (TCTI) has now been awarded the additional task of maintenance of the facilities.

The leading Dubai-based manufacturer of cold stores, freezer rooms, shelters and refrigerated trucks was awarded the contract of setting up 44 ‘cold rooms’ in the Madinat Jumeirah Phase II in March 2003, and successfully completed it this January.
“The rooms are made of materials that are fabricated to the meet the demands of the client at TCTI’s plant in the Al Quoz Industrial Area. Varying in size and shapes, these 44 rooms – which will serve as kitchen storage areas for edible items, cold storage and beverage bar storage – are spread all over Phase II, including the Al Qasr Hotel, Palace Beach and the court villas,” explains a company spokesman.
Established in 1978, TCTI has been catering to the growing demand for refrigeration applications in the region, and has expanded its range to cover all types of polyurethane panelled products as well as diversified into various related fields, including fibreglass, glass-reinforced cement, pipe and duct insulation.
TCTI is involved in the manufacture, supply and installation of insulated warehouses, cold stores, refrigerated truck-bodies, skid-mounted mobile cold rooms, mobile workshops, pipe and duct insulation, GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) and GRC (glass reinforced concrete) products. The ISO 9001-2000 certified company has state-of-the-art production facilities with a quality control programme that is second to none, claims the spokesman.
The company is supported by a team of 150 engineers and technicians, which includes highly-qualified and trained professionals with the requisite know-how to design, build and maintain products to suit the specific requirements of clients. “They assist clients and consultants right from the concept stage, thereby making the best use of space and resources, while saving on costs, time and energy,” he says.
The company’s commitment to quality has earned it a reputation for reliability, both within the region and outside. TCTI began exporting to Saudi Arabia in the early 80s and its competitive pricing has won it clients across the GCC, UK, the CIS and the Far East.
The company is also eyeing prospects for business at the new hotels, warehouses and food processing plants within the Dubai Investment Park project, projects in Iraq, and communication shelters for Saudi Arabia. This apart, the company manufactures GRP and GRC products for export to Europe.
TCTI is optimistic about its growth prospects. “Our business is directly linked to construction/tourist industry. When these two sectors grow, our business grows along with them,” the spokesman explains.
Apart from the Madinat Jumeirah, the company has recently completed projects for clients such as Galadari and Sons, Seven Seas Shipchandlers, Emirates Flight Catering, UAE Armed Forces, Younis Janahi, and the Ports and Customs department.
