The managers of Union's authorised dealers and Union Design Centres in each of the company's core international markets are undergoing a two-week training programme in London.
The UK-based Union supplies architectural hardware and locks specified by architects, local authorities and government bodies. It is a major brand in the Middle East, Asia and Africa regions.
The two-week programme provides the 20 delegates from the Middle East, Africa and Asia intense product specific training sessions backed up by practical demonstrations. In addition, they also receive instruction in the complete specification process: from the architects' drawings right through to the installation of the products. Sessions have also been held on scheduling software and future marketing campaigns.
The training is expected to benefit overseas delegates when recommending products and advising on standards to architects, specifiers and the end-users back in their local markets. It also provides an opportunity for dealers and managers to benchmark against one another and to swap and compare knowledge and practice, according to Union.
