Emirates Ceramic Factory, a leading UAE-based ISO9001-certified manufacturer of glazed ceramic floor and wall files is looking at appointing agents/distributors in Europe, Asia and all GCC countries.

''The company is seeking agents/distributors to market its glazed ceramic floor and wall tiles which are offered in different sizes and designs throughout Europe Asia and all GCC countries,'' says a spokesman for the company.

Established in Fujairah during 1981 as a government-owned enterprise, the Emirates Ceramic Factory has been a pioneer in the Gulf in the field of ceramics for nearly two decades offering reliable, quality products, backed by a prompt service, he says. Over the past two decades it has modernised its factory from time to time, uses latest technology and machineries from Europe.

Its products, marketed under the brand name Fujairah Ceramics, are produced from a special variety of hard clay-like shale found in the mountains of Fujairah, unlike other conventional ceramic tiles, which are produced from common clays, the spokesman claims.

''This material imparts superior quality to the products, giving them high mechanical strength and resistance to physio-chemical agents,'' he explains.

Emirates Ceramics currently produces 2.5 million sq m of wall and floor tiles annually.

The company attributes its success to the superior quality of its products and its strict adherence to the highest standards of design, production and quality assurance.

The spokesman continues: ''To satisfy the rapidly changing demands of its discerning clientele, Emirates Ceramic Factory has well-equipped laboratories for glaze development and design, serigraphy, photography, microscopy and mineralogy.

''Its in-house design studio generates world-class designs, which are well received in Europe and other international markets.

''Its production facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and computer-controlled presses and kilns, automated sorting and packing lines, all of which contribute to the superior quality of its special and plain tiles.

''The richness and style of its range of wall and floor tiles is the result of singe-firing technology which offers immediate decor solutions in a wide range of styles, colours and sizes.

''The company adopts a 'quality first' approach, with all operations at Emirates Ceramic Factory being governed by a quality management system, which conforms to the ISO 9001 series and other international standards of quality, thus ensuring consistently good quality products.

''Its products fully conform to British Standard (BS 6431), SASO (Saudi Arabian Standards Organisation) standard (SSA1031/1995) and Gulf Standard (GS 779/1997). ECP products bear the SASO quality mark.

''The tiles are produced using European raw materials of highest quality ensuring excellent mechanical, chemical and physical properties.

''Raw materials come from well-known suppliers such as Colorobbia and Esmal Glass - both of Italy, Ferro - Holland and Fritta - Spain. Floor tiles are coated with glazes offering excellent abrasion resistance.

''Customer satisfaction has always been our goal and our quality assurance team maintains a strict control on the standards of design, research and production,'' he says.

''In the two decades of its existence, the company has built up a reputation for itself, and today stands out among its peers as an organisation known for its reliability and commitment to service.

''Our team consists of people who have been selected carefully, trained extensively and are motivated constantly. Our partnership with our employees is based on mutual respect and recognition of every individual's contribution to the company's success. Even our customers are our partners in this pursuit of excellence and the creation of a permanent environment of quality.''
