The EvoQuip Bison 220R was previewed at Hillhead expo in June.

Terex – global leader with a rich history in providing compact and mid-sized crushing and screening equipment – has recently launched Magna, a new brand to address the demands of large-scale operations in the quarrying, mining, construction, and recycling industries.

With decades of experience and a reputation for excellence across its Powerscreen, Finlay and EvoQuip brands, Terex has been at the forefront of providing innovative, high-quality equipment solutions. Under the strapline ‘Made for More’, Magna will build on this legacy, offering a new range of robust, high-capacity machinery tailored to meet the needs of customers requiring larger output and volumes.

The launch of Magna supports the growth of Terex by expanding its offering with products that complement its existing portfolio. Magna will leverage the global presence of Terex that spans across all continents, providing high-quality solutions supported by a global network of skilled distributors.

Pat Brian, Vice President of Terex Aggregates, explains: “While we have a prominent position in the global market for compact and mid-sized materials processing equipment, Magna will position us to serve customers requiring higher output machines, via our renowned and extensive global distribution network. With an ambitious product roadmap and supported by Terex-wide engineering, manufacturing, marketing, parts, and service capabilities, Magna will provide significant growth potential for Terex.”

Terex Corporation is a global manufacturer of materials processing machinery and aerial work platforms. The group designs, builds, and supports products used in construction, maintenance, manufacturing, energy, recycling, minerals, and materials management applications.

Its EvoQuip brand, which offers compact crushing and screening equipment, has launched the Bison 170, the latest addition to its jaw crusher range.

With its 700 x 500 mm jaw chamber and diesel-electric drive technology, the Bison 170 enables customers to optimise their operations while meeting both economic and environmental goals, according to the company.

Bison 170 boasts ease of use and manoeuvrability.

Suitable for both natural rock and recycling applications, the Bison 170 has a range of environment-friendly features that also offer customers value, high performance, ease of use and manoeuvrability, EvoQuip adds.

“We are delighted to add the Bison 170 to our jaw crushing range,” Andrew Armstrong, Product Manager for EvoQuip, remarks. “With a potential output of up to 110 tph and low fuel consumption, the Bison 170 is a high-performing, environmentally-friendly machine that aligns with the EvoQuip Think Green, Think EvoQuip sustainability campaign.”

The Bison 170 utilises a fuel-efficient diesel electric drive system, with an onboard generator to power the plant. It can also be plugged in and driven from an external power source such as mains power, which allows for zero emissions processing, enabling customers to meet regulatory requirements and support their own sustainability goals. The engine and power unit can be removed completely, allowing the plant to be powered from an external source with no combustion engine on board. As noise pollution is also reduced, the Bison 170 is an ideal machine for working in urban areas, says the manufacturer.

The Bison 170 offers all-round efficiency, with the electric drive enabling customers to run in reverse for asphalt recycling and also providing a unblock/jog function to clear a blockage. The deflector plate, fitted as standard, provides belt protection by allowing uncrushable objects to pass through the crushing chamber safely and onto the discharge belt. Finally, the ability to easily manoeuvre the machine from site to site and its simple and intuitive control system ensure transport and set-up times are minimised, while uptime is maximised, says the company.

Meanwhile, EvoQuip previewed its brand-new Bison 220R jaw crusher at Hillhead, a quarrying, construction and recycling exhibition held in late June in Buxton, England.

The EvoQuip Bison 220R boasts an impressive 820 mm x 550 mm (32” x 22”) jaw inlet and has 240MP compressive strength to process a wide range of applications. Its efficient hydrostatic drive system not only optimises fuel efficiency but also enhances performance, complemented by the ability to run the chamber in reverse, says Armstrong.

The optional ‘R’ section (recirculating conveyor) of the machine enables the required product specification to be achieved, with oversize material either being recirculated back to the crusher or stockpiled. The ability to quickly detach the complete afterscreen system, including the oversize conveyor, provides the option of either running the machine in standard mode or transporting separately.

The Bison 220R also features an 8’ x 4’ single deck screen on the ‘R’ section, to aid efficient screening. Moreover, operators benefit from the flexibility to raise and lower the product conveyor, facilitating smooth material handling. With quick set-up times, simple intuitive operation, easy maintenance and transport capabilities, the Bison 220R stands out as a versatile and user-friendly solution for various crushing applications, he concludes.

The EvoQuip range of mobile crushing, screening and shredding equipment provides compact and versatile solutions which can operate in demanding applications including reinforced concrete, recycled asphalt, construction and demolition waste, coal, and natural rock. The company also provides solutions for onsite recycling in urban areas, with all the products being easily transportable from job to job.
