ZAMIL Ladders Factory recently commissioned an ultra-modern production line for ladders that have been designed to European standards and comply with the safety rules and regulations of EN131.

With this new line, the company can now manufacture multiple types of ladders with high productivity to meet the growing demand for these products in the building materials and construction projects market.

Zamil Ladders Factory started manufacturing aluminium ladders in 1978 in the First Industrial City in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Since then, it has gained recognition as the leading manufacturer of high-quality aluminium ladders and access products in Saudi Arabia, says a spokesman for the company.

He says the company’s products comply with British safety standards and are widely used in a number of government and private projects in the kingdom and other GCC countries.

Apart from the GCC, Zamil Ladders Factory also exports to other Middle Eastern countries. “We are the market leaders in the Middle East due to the quality, durability and competitive pricing of our products,” he adds.

The production line was inaugurated by chairman Sulaiman A Al Zamil in the presence of delegates from Zamil Architectural Holding Company.

The company’s wide product range includes:

• JSL, a lightweight and strong ladder that is handy in kitchens, shops and storerooms;

• DSL, which is designed for home use;

• DPL, a versatile ladder, which can be used as a trestle, step-ladder or extended to a straight ladder as required;

• CSL, an extra-heavy-duty straight ladder suitable for construction and maintenance applications;

• CDL, an extra-heavy-duty straight ladder that is extendable. It is designed for use in industrial construction and maintenance applications;

• LSL, which is described as an extra-feather-weight and low-cost product compared to all other available aluminium ladder models in the market;

• MPL, a multipurpose ladder that can be used in 15 configurations such as straight ladders, work tables, platforms; and

• Access products: These are special custom-made ladders and platforms like warehouse and safety cage/fire escape ladders to be installed at towers, minarets, water tanks, underground pumping rooms and roofs of houses, platforms for maintenance, and other uses. They are made as per the client requirements.

The company says its uses high-quality aluminium extrusion profiles, produced from alloy 6063 and 6082 in T6 for the production of its superior quality aluminium ladders.

Currently, Zamil Ladders Factory is fabricating a special type of helicopter maintenance platform for the Saudi Naval Base, Jubail. This platform is 15 m long.

“We are proud to replace their existing European-made platform. On completion of this project, we expect to receive additional orders of this kind from various locations,” says the spokesman.
