Liebherr cranes lift Al Faris profile.

UAE-BASED Al Faris Equipment Rentals, which has one of the largest fleets of mobile cranes in the Middle East, is building on the success of its first rental facility opened in Saudi Arabia last year, with plans to launch a second depot in the Western region of the country.

More than 60 Liebherr mobile cranes have been delivered to its first depot in Saudi Arabia, with orders for further units slated for delivery before March next year.

The company opened a new depot and workshop facility in Jubail, initially equipping it with a fleet of 20 Liebherr mobile cranes transferred from Dubai plus 11 new models.

Today, with a fleet of more than 60 Liebherr mobile cranes in Jubail, further orders have been placed for another 17 units, to be delivered throughout the remainder of this year and the first two months of 2013.

The Saudi rental fleet currently includes twenty-nine 50- to 100-tonne, eighteen 100- to 160- tonne, twelve 200- to 250-tonne and four 300- to 500-tonne class Liebherr mobile cranes.

The fleet’s Liebherr LTM 1095-5.1s – a five-axle model with a 58-m boom offering the largest telescopic boom in its class – is proving to be the crane of choice for most erection applications.

The 95-tonne class crane features 15-tonne ballast on each axle load of 12 tonnes and a total weight load of 60 tonnes for on-road travel. It offers a maximum lifting capacity of 95 tonnes at 3 m plus a lattice jib of 10.5 m to 26 m.
