
FOUR international consortia vying for the 175-km Riyadh Metro network contract have been set a December deadline to submit their final bids.
The four consortia that include 33 companies from 15 countries have qualified for the final round of bidding from 38 groups that were vying for the project.
Quoting High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh officials, an Arab News report said the contract may be awarded to more than one consortium, considering the project’s huge size.
The bidders for the project include Vinci and Alstom of France, Italy’s Ansaldo, Canada’s Bombardier, Germany’s Siemens and StadlerBussnang of Switzerland.
