KINGDOM Holding Company (KHC) will roll out a SR43.8 million ($11.67 million) expansion plan for the iconic Kingdom Centre in Riyadh.
Under the plan, the mixed-use tower, which was built in 2002, will see its area boosted by 13,550 sq m.
The expansion will include 26 commercial stores with a total of 3,580 sq m, in addition to 10 commercial stands occupying 157 sq m, an 874-sq m children recreation area, 27 food stalls totalling 1,420 sq m and a 600 sq m mosque. Other new features include common a area and service facilities.
The eastern wing of the project includes world-famous brands while a number of fast-food restaurants are located in the centre of the mall.
The KHC recently launched an expansion of the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh located in the tower. The project entails converting the 48th floor into two floors – 48th and 50th floors – to accommodate 44 premium category guest rooms and suites, a check-in desk on the 48th floor, as well as the services of a dedicated concierge staff.
The expansion also includes a panoramic elevator, a 90-sq-m executive lounge and a butler service. Furthermore, a 90-sq-m ladies gym will be situated on the 50th floor. A highlight will be the Kingdom Suite, the signature suite of the hotel situated on both floors (duplex) covering an area of 330 sq m.
