Raghadan ... supplying the region with the latest decorative paints.

RAGHADAN Paints, considered to be the largest Arab paint company in the Middle East, will be participating in this year’s Saudi Build to showcase its innovations in paints and decorative products that are formulated to meet the latest trends in the building construction sector.

The participation will be along with San Marco of Italy, considered one of the leading manufacturers of marble and special effects paints in Europe. San Marco’s technical manager will be conducting live demonstrations of new paint techniques.

Established in 1974 and recently having celebrated 35 years of quality service, Raghadan has a huge production and distribution network, consisting of three major paint factories in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Cairo (Egypt) and Amman (Jordan), six paint companies in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Jordan and Egypt, a regional office in London (UK), 15 branches, 20 agents, and 500 distributors.

The company boasts a multinational workforce of 1,000 employees and has business interests that cover the sectors of manufacturing, distribution, import, export, and supply and apply of paints and design and engineering services.

Sales and marketing director Dr Hisham Ali comments: “Raghadan is still continuing its expansion in the region as well as conducting research into product lines in line with the demand and its desire to diversify into new areas of building materials to cater to the construction market in the Middle East region. It recently set up a new production line for building materials as part of its expansion plan.”

“Our growth has been achieved through the dedication, hard work and positive outlook of the company’s founding members. We have been making sure that we provide the best quality and customer service at the most competitive prices,” he adds.

Raghadan is currently eyeing new markets in the Middle East to increase its sales volumes, according to him.

In line with this objective, the company will be present at all the various international, decor and building exhibitions in the Gulf and wider Arab world that it participated in last year, including events in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Syria, Egypt and Kuwait. It achieved great success during these shows and hopes to repeat its performance at this year’s events.

Raghadan produces a wide range of paints such as emulsion and enamel paints, decorative paints, all types of textures, putties and sealers, wood stains and varnishes, NC and epoxy paints and many others. It recently introduced a new velvet-effect decorative paint – called Raghadan Velvet Paint – considered to be the first of its kind to be produced in the Gulf region.

Another new product added to its product portfolio is Raghadan Atoshinto, a pearl-effect decorative paint that provides an excellent pearlescent appearance when light reflects on the wall painted with the product.

In addition, the company has newly introduced building materials and finishing products including tile and ceramics adhesives, grouts, coloured cement finishes, cracks and gypsum fillers and weather and roof protective coatings, among others.

Over the past three decades, Raghadan has been providing Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries with the latest creative decorative paints styles and techniques in coordination with Italy’s Colorificio San Marco; Akzo Nobel Paints of Belgium; Vernici Egideo Milesi of Italy for wooden coatings; and Kansai Paint of Japan for architectural paints.
The company is also the official paint supplier and applicator for the royal families of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain and has worked in collaboration with top contractors in the kingdom, Dr Hisham says.

Raghadan has undertaken many prestigious projects, some of which include the  Kingdom Tower, Al Faisaliah Tower, Al Jeraisy 10-palace project, Disneyland Hokair, and Al Ahsa Inter-Continental Hotel in Saudi Arabia; the Olympic Stadium and Village in Qatar; Salmaniya Medical Centre in Bahrain; a 50-tower project at Jumeirah Beach Residence, and Emirates Towers in Dubai; Marriott hotel in Cairo; and Jordan Hospital in Jordan.
