ABU DHABI-BASED developer Sorouh Real Estate has won two government contracts worth Dh2 billion ($544.7 million) to build more than 1,000 new homes for Emirati nationals in Al Ain and the Western Region.
The emirate's Urban Planning Council will fund the project, which aims to construct residential housing away from Abu Dhabi city, in a bid to boost housing supply within the emirate.
Sorouh Real Estate is one of the largest real estate developers in the Middle East based in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
Its current mandate includes more than Dh70 billion ($19 billion) worth of projects under development.
