PERI has ushered in 2010 with intelligently-designed and efficiently applicable formwork and scaffolding systems, the most extensive product portfolio on the market and customer-oriented services.
During the lean months of the global financial crisis, the Germany-based company has directed its efforts towards developing new products, expanding existing market sectors and penetrating new markets as well as positioning country-specific product ranges.
At bauma 2010, Peri’s initiatives will be lined up on its 4,200 sq m stand in the form of proven system equipment, solid product enhancements and numerous new developments. The focus will be on best quality for the maximum possible period of application, a spokesman for the company says.
Some of the products which will be promoted at this world-leading construction equipment show will be system-independent accessories, wall and slab formwork, civil engineering kits, climbing systems, and scaffolding/shoring products.
The system-independent accessories will comprise VT 20K formwork girder and the PEP Ergo steel tube props.
The Peri VT 20K is a 20-cm-high solid web girder with improved protection at the girder ends. The robust steel caps that surround the ends of the girder, as well as the concave web ends, reliably prevent damage to the girder ends in demanding and tough conditions on the construction site, the spokesman says. Here, the natural elasticity of the wood is also used to absorb the impact energy.
He continues: “With the new PEP Ergo steel tube props, Peri is introducing a new prop generation that is characterised by a unique reparability and further increased load-bearing capacity with a low individual weight. The capacity factor – defined as the ratio of load-bearing capacity to dead weight – is up to 70 per cent more than that of comparable props. These easy-to-handle props have the following advantages: directional lowering cams in connection with the re-designed thread allow a smooth lowering process even under load and any possible damage is minimised; the adjusting range is large, which means the G hooks very seldom have to be repositioned; the proven integrated measuring tape ensures efficient and error-free operations on the construction site.”
Its wall formwork range will be represented by Peri Maximo, which made its debut at bauma 2007 and has since proven its cost-effectiveness on construction sites in numerous countries with its MX tie technology, says the spokesman.
“The one-sided installation of the MX ties without spacer tubes clearly reduces the required number of working steps compared to conventional panel formwork thereby shortening the shuttering times quite significantly,” he says.
Peri engineers have recently extended the Maximo system. Panels with a 3.3 m system height as well as new, practical corner solutions are now available.
