Energy City Qatar (ECQ) has signed an MOU with EMEA Enterprise Solutions at Cityscape Dubai 2007 under which the latter will design, build and operate a security service and security operations centre for ECQ.

The security project including technology investment is expected to cost 10 to 20 per cent of the $2.6 billion ECQ project.
“ECQ is currently in negotiations with other technology partners and, within the next three to six months, will be able to estimate the technology-added values for this project,” said Hisham Al Emadi, CEO of Energy City Qatar.
“The signing of this MOU is a strategic partnership that will enable ECQ to develop, build and operate a state-of-the-art, high-capacity physical security infrastructure by providing basic and premium data centre, IP and end-user services to its tenants, while also supporting the development and commercial objectives of ECQ,” he said.
