Bahrain Pipes and Tanks, which recently installed a new production line at its manufacturing facility in Bahrain, is targeting the Middle East markets with a wide product range that includes road barriers and large HDPE (high-density polyethylene) pipes in sizes up to 900 mm.

“As the largest manufacturer of plastic pipes and tanks in the Middle East, we are fully committed to making a major positive impact in the local Bahrain industrial market and a significant contribution to the economy,” says Mohamed Abu Abbas, general manager of Bahrain Pipes and Tanks. “To cope up with the dynamic growth of the Middle East, and in the spirit of continuous corporate expansion, our in-house research and development team is working to implement the latest technology and is keen on diversifying into similar fields of plastic technology.”
With its state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing equipment that meet stringent international standards and focuses on customer satisfaction, Bahrain Pipes and Tanks has a monthly production output that exceeds 1,500 tonnes. The company claims to be the sole manufacturer of polybutylene pipes in the Middle East.
“Our manufacturing facility is capable of producing a wide range of pipe sizes, under a rigid application of ISO9001:2001 quality control procedures right from the production process to management operations,” says Abbas.
“The fact that we also have the best laboratory facilities, an integrated information system and the latest in pipe handling and storage methods make Bahrain Pipes and Tanks a truly world-class factory,” adds Abbas.
Established in 1996 at the Haji Hassan Industrial complex in Salmabad, the company started commercial production to meet the growing demand for plastic pipes in several sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, industrial, agricultural and construction. Within a short time, it has become the leading supplier of PVC (polyvinyl chloride), CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride), HDPE, polybutylene pipes and fittings in the Middle East and has been consistently listed in the approved and preferred vendors list of numerous major pipe dealers in Middle East for years, he concludes.
