Having successfully completed a wide range of architectural and ornamental works for the first phase of The Avenues, considered to be Kuwait’s largest mall, Kuwait-based Industrial Metal Center Company (IMCC) is now working on the project’s Phase Two as well as several other projects in the emirate.
For the project, IMCC will provide the same works as in Phase One, but with new additions such as architectural canopies in the parking zone, two pylons (glazing and steel works) and two fully-glazed kiosks (internal and external), says managing director Giragos Kuyumjian.
For Phase One of The Avenues mall in Al Rai, IMCC has installed 2,300 m of finely-crafted 19 mm glass balusters, six glass-clad bridges and nine panoramic housings for elevators, involving a total of 7,000 sq m of glass works. Also, it has installed about 300 rolling shutters of various brands and sizes for various department stores in the mall.
In addition, the company has also bagged the contract for 360 Degrees Kuwait project for which it is currently preparing the shop drawings. The landmark project is coming up along the Sixth Ring Road.
The two projects add up to the long list of local projects that the company has completed in the recent past, which includes: Kuwait Hilton resort hotel, Kuwait University, Kuwait International Airport, Burgan Bank, Bader Al Mulla Bros’ Chrysler and Mitsubishi car showroom, Al Fanar Commercial Center, Minister of Defence residence and Ministry of Public Works, Bayan Palace, Kuwait Government’s official guest palace, to name a few, says Kuyumjian.
Apart from working on local projects, the company has also looked outwards to win a few overseas contracts such as the Armenian Embassy building and ambassador’s residence in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
There are more projects in the pipeline that Kuyumjian chose not to disclose. “We shall make known once the project starts execution,” he says.
