With around 90 per cent of exhibitors at last year’s Marmomacc having already confirmed their attendance, the organisers of this year’s international exhibition of marble, natural stone and technology are optimistic of repeating their successful performance.
The event, which will be held from October 5 to 8 at the Verona Exhibition Centre in Verona in Italy, is set to introduce many new features. For the first time it will stage an exhibition dedicated to processing tools, abrasives and chemical products while two new halls of 20,000 sq m will also be inaugurated to host international companies specialising in natural stone, finished product and architectural design.
“High-impact events will include cultural shows focusing on the use of stone in modern architecture in the Marble Art and Culture section, along with meetings and shows that will focus on a closer look at design and end users,” says a spokesman for the organiser.
“There will also be a theme-based guided tour of stands involved in design studies involving interior design, external surfaces and cladding,” adds the spokesperson.
The show, now in its 41st edition, has attracted groups from Turkey, Spain, Palestine, Egypt, Morocco, Brazil, Argentina, Taiwan and China.
Last year’s fair saw the participation of 1,450 companies, of which 675 were international companies from 51 countries and drew 62,048 visitors from 116 countries.
