Bonyan earmarks $30bn investment

Bonyan International Investment Group (BIIG) chairman Abdulla Atatreh reveals the company is looking to invest more than Dh110 billion ($29.9 billion) worldwide, positioning itself as one of the leaders in the real estate sector.

Atatreh made his remarks during the third annual MEED conference, which was staged last month (May) in Kuwait.
The conference brought together companies and industry professionals from across the Gulf to explore the major sectors of Kuwait’s growing economy. It included project updates from Kuwait’s key players in oil and gas, petrochemicals, power and water, as well as reports on public and private sector civil infrastructure projects, including construction, infrastructure and transportation.
Atatreh says Bonyan’s participation in the MEED conference comes as a result of its interest in the investment opportunities available in the region, especially Kuwait.
Atatreh says his aspiration is to build Bonyan into a world-class brand by delivering creative, inspiring and sustainable quality residential and commercial buildings that will set a benchmark for real estate sector.
During the conference, Bonyan shed light on its existing and upcoming projects, future investment plans in Kuwait and details about the company’s latest development, which is a Dh500 million Smart Tower located at Dubai Silicon Oasis.
