ATAF’s work ... advanced technology in use.

Sharjah-based Alba Tower Aluminium Factory (ATAF), which has recently completed work on Madinat Jumeirah Phase III, claims that much of its success in the timely completion of the fast-track project can be attributed to the use of advanced technology.

“This was possible, thanks to the advanced methods of fabrication and installation,” says a company spokesman.
ATAF was given the contract for the fabrication, supply and installation of aluminium railings, lattices, awnings and pergolas at the Madinat suq and villas. The main hurdle was to achieve the utmost quality while ensuring that other trades operating on the same site on equally tight work schedules were not disturbed, he says.
Accessibility to the various sites of the project was a challenge considering that large screens had to be installed simultaneously at different locations. Work on the framing system (pergolas) at the top of the plant room was tough, especially since the tower crane was to be removed at an early stage of construction, requiring ATAF to complete the job as quick as possible, he says.
“We are excited to have taken part in the development of this unique and iconic beachfront property in Dubai. This is a city within a city and that has made our job more complex and challenging. We are glad of what we have accomplished at this project. Getting the highest standard of specification on such a complex work schedule has given us immense insight into our knowledge of trade and we will utilise our experience from the Madinat to our other projects as well.”
ATAF says it is the only cast aluminium/metal manufacturer in the UAE equipped with computerised CNC engraving (routing) facilities, which allows it to achieve high-standard precision work.
ATAF has an enviable track record and has gained its reputation of being a top-quality fabricator and installer through its target-oriented approach, applying advanced technology, using qualitative knowledge and resources in designing, engraving, routing, fabricating and installing, says the spokesman.
The company deals in cast aluminium/metal products such as gates, fencing, grilles, handrails, screens, balustrades, pergolas and roof lattice, car-park sheds, garden furniture, lighting fixtures and heavy aluminium structures such as bridges and frame systems. It combines its innovative research and creative technology with its field experience to meet its clients ever-changing requirements.
“Presently, production requirements are met through two factories of the company located at Sharjah Industrial Area and Al Qusais, Dubai, where strict quality control, team work and consistent efficiency are exercised to achieve growth,” he concludes.
