Gaweea wins Aramco valve deals

Al Khobar-based Gaweea International Establishment has clinched orders on behalf of its principal AVK-Saudi Valves Company from contractors working on the Qatif downstream projects.

The orders for ductile iron valves were placed by the four main contractors on the Saudi Aramco project.

Sayed Mahmood, Gaweea's director of marketing and sales, says his company has been marketing companies and their products in Saudi Arabia for the last 35 years.

To win the orders, Mahmood says Gaweea went the extra mile right from the early stages of discussions to the implementation of the order.

Plans are now on to introduce new products to Aramco contractors and also to extend Gaweaa's services in the neigbouring Gulf markets of Kuwait and Bahrain.

Mahmood - an industry veteran with 38 years in the Saudi market, including 20 years of dealing with Saudi Aramco - has conducted a feasibility study of these markets and believes they offer good potential for business.
