Surfaces, one of Dubai's leading suppliers of high-quality interior finishing products, has supplied significant quantities of high-end ceramic flooring and sanitary ware items for the Mercato Town Centre in Dubai.

The company also undertook the flooring design for the shopping mall.

Detailing the company's scope of work on the project, Jamal Salam, General Manager of Surfaces, says: 'We supplied 9,000 sq m of porcelain tile flooring from Marazzi - Italy. This highly durable porcelain tile is 12 mm thick and offers high resistance to traffic and stains. The tiles have been manufactured using a special production technique to give them an antique and rustic finish.

'Marazzi tiles are available in different colours and sizes, thus enabling a diverse range of designs.'

Established around three years ago in Dubai, Surfaces has experienced exponential growth, building up an impressive track record of prestigious projects.

'Within a short period of time, we have established ourselves as a supplier of high-quality products to the market.

'We are also able to handle fast-track projects as the mass production capacity of our principals' factories can meet any delivery time,' he points out.

Marazzi has a special product called Enduro, which is manufactured using an innovative fire stream technology and offers a 50-year guarantee on tiles for residential and 20 years for commercial use.

Surfaces also represents Hatria, which is part of the Marazzi Group, for sanitary ware and Mamoli, a well-known Italian manufacturer of faucet mixers.

'Our company deals directly with architects, consultants, interior designers, building contractors, property developers and project consultants to ensure that all the technical details and specifications of a project are met and are as per international standards,' he says.

Salam has over 25 years experience in this field and is well-versed with the requirements of the market.
