BSI Lighting Technologies, a Turkish technology company which designs and develops creative lighting solutions for the international architectural market, says it provided the impressive lighting that illuminates a pedestrian bridge on Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street in Abu Dhabi.
Work on the bridge, which opened early last year, was initiated by Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) in a bid to modernise the architectural lighting of the pedestrian bridge as part of its continuous plan to improve the aesthetic appearance of public and service facilities.
According to BSI Lighting Technologies, the project has resulted in many benefits including improving the level of lighting inside the pedestrian bridge; enhancing the aesthetics of the bridge as well as the urban landscape of the city of Abu Dhabi; and creating a new and innovative cosmetic lighting experience.
The main contractor on the project was Timishuara Electrical & Mechanical Contracting Company (Temco) while the agent and lighting designer was Arabian Scandinavian General Trading Company.
BSI Lighting Technologies offers a wide range of services, from consultation and advise to architects and architectural lighting designers during the initial project design phase right through to helping to identify and develop technology solutions, customised products or custom-designed project specific products
“BSI Lighting Technologies is keen on promoting the values of sustainability and rationalising energy consumption. In addition to improving the aesthetic appearance of public and service facilities, the company is working towards providing stunning views by using the latest types of lighting systems to decorate bridges and facilities wherever they are located in the world,” says a spokesman for the company.
