Intellimix ... high hygiene standards.

Ideal Standard’s Intellimix redefines handwashing

Ideal Standard, a leading provider of bathroom solutions, has launched Intellimix, a smart, cost-effective solution for superior hygiene in shared spaces, which is now available in the region.

Designed to dispense both soap and water with every use, Intellimix is 100 per cent touch-free, ensuring improved hygiene standards in public washrooms. Ideal for offices, leisure facilities and other high-traffic environments, the fitting significantly lowers running costs while being sustainable and reducing waste, says a spokesman for Ideal Standard.

“Despite delivering an optimum volume of soap with every wash for improved hygiene, Intellimix actually reduces the overall amount of soap and water typically used in washrooms with traditional fittings, minimising waste and generating cost savings of up to 80 per cent on soap and 85 per cent on water. Maintenance and cleaning are also hassle-free, with less frequent and faster soap replacement compared to traditional dispensers, and reduced cleaning required with all soap directed into the bowl,” he points out.

Intellimix delivers an optimised digital wash cycle including soap and water every time, with the in-built TFT screen displaying clear handwashing instructions to enhance the handwashing experience.

Bluetooth enabled, Intellimix also offers parameter settings which can be easily controlled by facilities managers via a smartphone. Intellimix also sends notifications when soap is running low to avoid unnecessary physical checks. The fitting is available in Chrome and Black Onyx versions, while panel-mounted models will launch later in 2021.

Herman Miller launches post-pandemic office collection

Herman Miller, a US company that produces office furniture, equipment, and home furnishing, has launched its OE1 line of office products that embraces the unpredictability of the future by combining agility, functionality, and modularity. It offers a wide range of items that can be used to create varied work settings yet are flexible enough to adapt to growth, new needs or desires, or even the unexpected.

Ryan Anderson, Vice President of Global Research and Insights at Herman Miller, comments: “With people forced to work outside of offices, traditional means of workplace planning have been challenged by the unpredictability of how people will work now and in the future. These changes will continue, and workspaces need to constantly adapt. People want their environments to work for them, and OE1 is designed to enable that.”

A collection of essential pieces that spans mobile tables, movable walls, height-adjustable workstations, storage trolleys, and more, OE1 directly responds to how and where people want to work, encouraging a reexamination of traditional workplace design while allowing employees to build, test, and recreate their spaces.

Used as individual pieces or the entire collection, OE1 seamlessly integrates into existing spaces, or can be used to create entirely new ones, enabling organisations to create new facilities or strategically improve existing ones for post-pandemic working.

Retro Hook ensures versatility, functionality

Italy-based Ceadesign has launched on innovative tap system which draws its inspiration from the old water taps that ran outside the walls.

Hook, made of AISI 316L stainless steel, is an expression of modularity and functionality. Its unique, functional and contemporary design renders its versatile in terms of space organisation, thanks to its modular support brackets that act as support elements, according to a spokesman for the company

The wall mounting of the plumbing system facilitates the installation of the taps, together with the tubular element.

Hook is suited for indoor environments such as bathrooms and kitchens, acting as a link between washbasin, bidet, shower and becoming taps and towel holders at the same time, he says. The multi-functionality, flexibility and ease of installation enables Hook to fully respond to the needs of each project, he concludes.
