MOTORCITY, the sole distributor of Hyundai Heavy Industries in Bahrain, has launched the first ever Hyundai backhoe loaders in the country.

The machines were launched after being stringently tested on all terrains for more than two years.

The two models launched – the new H930S and H940S – feature deluxe design cabin to maximise operating comfort and are equipped with a powerful and reliable Perkins engine, with EPA Tier II and EU Stage Two emission regulations.
Arun Kumar, sales manager at Motorcity-Commercial, commented: “Good technical specifications including a powerful engine and gearbox and good transmission are distinct features of the backhoe in addition to well-engineered powertrain and hydraulics.”

Both the H930S and H940S provide the operator with excellent backhoe and loader performance and productivity. The innovative hydraulic technologies make the machines faster, smoother and easy to control. In addition, the loaders offer good visibility, easier serviceability and ensure operator safety.

He said the new backhoe is an ideal vehicle for midscale contractors, adding the machine was launched in response to customer demand since Hyundai is already a market leader in Bahrain for excavators and wheel loaders with more than 50 per cent share in both of these segments.

Kumar anticipates good demand for Hyundai backhoes. He said about 120 to 130 backhoes are sold in Bahrain annually. But the overall market in the GCC is huge with over 5,000 machines sold every year.

The launch of the new backhoe loader series will address the demand, he said, adding that two machines having already been sold to a longtime customer.

Commenting on competition from strong players, Kumar said Hyundai’s backhoe will capitalise on the company’s experience of more than 20 years in excavators and wheel loaders.

“With that technology, developing backhoe wasn’t a problem for Hyundai,” he said.

He expressed confidence that with strong after-sales support, the new backhoe will fare well in the market and it will become a market leader in two to three years’ time.

Furthermore, Kumar added: “The reliable performance of Hyundai range has been showing great results in the construction sector in Bahrain. The equipment is trouble free and considered very reliable for any worksite with minimum downtime.”
