THOMAS Bell-Wright’s laboratory has acquired the first fire testing furnace in the region for testing and certification of fire-rated doors and partitions.

CEO Tom Bell-Wright founder and CEO of Thomas Bell-Wright International Consultants says “it is remarkable that in spite of all the construction which has taken place in the 16 years we have been in the UAE, there has never been a local facility for testing fire-rated doors and partitions to international standards”.
“Hopefully, the presence of this furnace will make it easier for builders to comply with the regulations and help to make our buildings safer to live and work,” he said.
Thomas Bell-Wright chose to purchase its furnace from its principal international supplier so that test results are exactly comparable with the best and most up-to-date furnaces anywhere in the world. The fire testing manager is Jean-Philippe Kayl.
Over the next few weeks, the company will be assembling the various components that were separated for shipping, and commissioning the furnace under the direction of the manufacturer and the designer of the control system.
