Following an in-depth analysis of the floor props available on the market, and intensive discussions with users, Austrian-based Doka has come up with the new Eurex top floor prop.

“With this new floor prop,” says a company spokesperson, “Doka has set a new benchmark for the durability, ergonomic design and safety of formwork equipment in the rough-and-tumble of everyday work on the site.”
The most striking new feature of the Eurex top is its integral impact protector. It gives the prop tube excellent protection against damage, for example, when the prop is knocked into position by hammer.
“This means that deformed and jammed floor props are well-and-truly a thing of the past,” the spokesperson points out.
Tracing the development of the product, he says: “Doka took the suggested improvements pointed out by foremen and site engineers very seriously indeed, and acted upon them to come up with the Eurex top floor prop.”
One of the crucial goals for the product developers, according to him, was to make work a lot easier for the site crew by substantially reducing the weight of the prop. He elaborates: “Being one of the lightest EN 1065-tested floor props, the Eurex top greatly cuts down on the amount of physical effort needed to reposition the equipment. This ensures a fast, ergonomically optimised workflow – and of course, consistently high load capacity is guaranteed at any telescoping length.”
Apart from its innovative impact protector and greatly reduced weight, the Eurex top floor prop also scores on many other new features and improvements that make for optimum handling during everyday work on the site, according to the spokesperson.
“With its special thread geometry, the built-in quick-lowering feature makes it easy and safe to back off the prop, even when under full load. Indelibly stamped on opposite sides of the prop, the hole-numbering is an easy-to-understand reference tool for adjusting the height, while the ergonomically shaped fastening clamp reduces the risk of injury and ensures smooth movement on the thread,” he explains.
The props’ high-quality Austrian workmanship, and the fact that they are made from premium materials, give them an extremely long service life. In other words, they remain fully functional even after repetitive re-use, the spokesman concludes.
