Reach Contracting, a recently-established trading and contracting firm in Bahrain, is set to open a new showroom in Isa Town this month.

The facility, located near the Toyota car servicing centre, will have innovative displays showcasing custom-made carpets from United Carpet Industries of the UAE and a variety of paints from Colortek, a leading Italian paint manufacturer that offers a range of decorative, architectural, industrial and protective coatings.
The showroom will feature a range of colour samples and include a high-tech computerised colour mixing system from Italy, which will enable customers to match colours to their specific requirements or choice.
“Colortek’s coatings, which are highly suitable for application in the Gulf region, are dust-repellent and non-flammable and offered in an extensive selection of colours and textures,” says Ali Al Alawi, owner and general manager of Reach Contracting, which initially launched operations last November as a contracting firm and has since diversified into trading activities.
“The company’s decorative range comprises 4,000 products in a huge variety of textures and colours. Marketed under the brand name Valsetin, this range is highly suitable for use on hotels and luxury villa projects.  It is highly washable, scratch-resistant, non-flammable and anti-bacterial, while having the ability to hide cracks,” Alawi adds.
He also points out that the coating will not peel for up to 10 years, provided the surface has been prepared according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
The architectural line comprises the Colors brand, which is a special highly-washable paint suited for exterior and interior applications on substrates such as wood, cement and metal. It is water-resistant, available in a choice of 1,100 colours and can be used in a diverse range of applications including industrial facilities and aircraft hangars and even in underwater sites, he states.
Colortek’s Oxford brand of specialist protective coatings is designed to cover any surface that is subject to extreme conditions, being water, heat and graffiti-resistant. The range includes floor, swimming pool and marine paints, machinery enamel, road marking and special primers.
At the gulfBID show this month, this extensive range of coatings will be promoted alongside carpets from United Carpet Industries, which are offered in a range of 360 colours.
 “As agents in the Gulf for United Carpet Industries, we will be looking at promoting this exciting range of custom-made carpets at the gulfBID show, where we will be making our debut,” says Alawi.
Sharjah-based United Carpet Industries manufactures superior-quality custom-made hand-tufted carpets in any size, shape or colour. These carpets are manufactured using 100 per cent New Zealand wool and 100 per cent Japanese acrylic yarn, to meet the requirements of a variety of clients in applications ranging from homes to service organisations, and royal palaces and hotels to government departments.
“We can supply carpets in virtually any size, texture and colour including hand-tufted and machine-tufted varieties. Delivery can be made in around four weeks, depending on the design and complexity of the order.  These carpets can be colour matched to the customer’s precise requirements,” Al Alawi explains.
