Yanmar Construction Equipment Company (YCE), a world leader in manufacturing various types of compact construction equipment, has recently joined hands with M H Al Mahroos, a Bahrain-based ‘total solution provider’ in the industrial and construction field, to market its compact excavators and lighting towers.
Yanmar excavators – ranging from 0.8 tonnes to 10 tonnes – are said to be compact in their design and structure, which enables them to perform excavation jobs fast and efficiently.
“The excavator is either a self-propelled crawler or wheel-mounted machine with an upper structure, capable of 360-degree rotation, which excavates, elevates, swings and discharges material, by the action of a bucket fitted to the boom and arm or telescopic boom, without moving the chassis or undercarriage, during any part of the working cycle of the machine,” explains Hassan Al Mahroos, managing director of M H Al Mahroos.
“These machines are powered by Yanmar diesel engines which comply with EU and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) emission norms, resulting in high fuel efficiency, low emission and low noise. Yanmar excavators have a true-zero-tail-swing clearance (360 degrees), hydraulic quick coupler attachment, progressive three-pump system (VIPPs) and a track adjustment system (Victas), among a host of features,” he adds.
Currently four Yanmar compact excavators models comprising the 0.8 tonne, 2 tonne, 3.5 tonne and 5.5 tonne units are being introduced to the Gulf market, which will be followed with the launch of the 7.5 tonne and 10-tonne machines.
Al Mahroos continues: “There are more than 2,100 projects either planned or under way in the Gulf countries, valued at just over $1 trillion, creating ample opportunities for welcoming the latest technology-oriented equipment in this region. Yanmar aims to capitalise on this economy growth in the Gulf area.
“With the market for construction machinery in the Gulf region being particularly buoyant and seeing ever increasing imports from the US, Japan and western European countries, M H Al Mahroos has chalked up a pragmatic business strategy for stepping into the wider Gulf market through the dual channels of direct sales and sales through dealership network.”
By providing after-sales service support with a customer-oriented approach and making the OEM parts available off the shelf, M H Al Mahroos is able to achieve its philosophy of “customer satisfaction through delivering the right product at the right place and at the right cost”, he adds.
