The mixed-use development ... impressive.
United Holdings has awarded Al Habtoor Engineering Abu Dhabi, part of the Al Habtoor Leighton Group, a Dh1.3 billion ($354 million) contract for the construction of a major mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi.
The project, now known as the Plot 9 hotel, residential and commercial complex, and offering a total built-up area of 240,000 sq m, will include a 40-storey hotel tower, a 25-storey tower containing serviced apartments, a 19-storey residential tower, and an 18-storey office tower.
Work on the project was set to start last month (February) and is scheduled for completion in two stages. Completion dates for Stage One and Stage Two are December 2009, July 2010 respectively.
