Sunflex Middle East, a specialist in bi-folding and sliding-turn door systems, is set to introduce its horizontal sliding wall (HSW) system to the Middle East market, for the first time, along with its complete line of door systems.

The SF40/SF45/SF55 HSW series features a slide rail system that makes it possible to move and position glass walls in almost any location with no bottom floor tracks required, says a spokesman for the Sharjah-based Sunflex Middle East.
The SF40 HSW is a frameless version of the horizontal sliding wall system for both internal and external applications, while the SF45 HSW (non-thermal) and the SF55 HSW (thermal) are double-glazed systems designed for a variety of applications.
According to the spokesman, the horizontal sliding wall system offers a host of advantages. It is a safely lockable, complete-glazing element for large-surface openings and can be opened quickly and easily over the entire width as necessary. Its thermal break profiles ensure good heat-insulation properties, if required.
Other advantages cited for the system include:
• There are no floor obstacles due to the trackless bottom;
• It does not have hinges, hence each panel of the system is able to slide individually for several opening possibilities; and
• It has specialised parking bays which help to maximise space.
The system, which is described as being ideal for use in commercial outlets such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, retail shops and other areas exposed to high volume traffic, will be promoted at the Big 5 show next month alongside other Sunflex products.

“Our unique and aesthetically-designed systems have earned us a distinct identity in our industry. We provide flexibility in design pattern and space management,” the spokesman comments.
He continues: “We have the capacity to engineer our products to suit specific applications and requirements, as we are backed by over 20 years of experience in this industry with our systems being fined-tuned personally by the founder of Sunflex, Ernst Schneider. All of our product development takes place in Germany.
“Sunflex maintains its quality control by engineering its own systems from the ground up – this means that all components of the system are made by Sunflex, from handles to hinges as well as our very own custom-designed roller system.”

Elaborating on some of the attributes of its products, the spokesman says: 'All of our systems are made from high quality, wear-resistant, weather-proof components that require minimum maintenance.
“Sunflex offers simple operation and user-friendliness due to the smooth-running ball-bearing castor system with a wide flush load transfer area applied to every system. Our systems provide the maximum space efficiency by sliding and folding or turning to either side of their opening, where they can be securely stacked out of the way, thus providing fully unobstructed panoramic views.
“A Sunflex system has a perfect finishing touch that will surely add a sense of luxury to any opening. The company offers various flexible system versions for almost any area of application. Complex geometries can be realised thanks to angled elements of up to 90 degrees.”
Other special features include:
• Parking position of the glass panels is according to individual specification;
• Raised floor rails are not necessary;
• Non-rattling, storm-proof and low-wear fittings;
• Locking is achieved using push rods and floor-set barrels;
• Optional locking version is available, which uses lock plate, lock and profile cylinder or lockable olive window knob; and,
• Doors integrated in panels available with different door locks.
“Since Sunflex Middle East specialises solely in folding door systems, we are confident that our systems are leaders in the market. We are committed to excellence in our products and services,” the spokesman concludes.
