
Christian Barrios Marchant, a senior member of the executive board of Germany-based Software AG, is spearheading a drive towards achieving accelerated growth for the software company’s regional interests.
Already, the Middle East and India generates a third of Software's global revenue and Marchant is seeking to significantly expand its regional business by developing human resources through the empowerment and training of nationals and also increasing its regional office network.
Software AG, which opened its regional headquarters in Bahrain last June, has been engaged in the region for more than 25 years building its high reputation for proven business-critical applications with governmental and blue-chip clients across the region.
Software AG provides data management, application developments and data integration technologies.
Software AG applications cover the entire region including Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. Recent applications also include the Public Authority of Applied Education and Training in Kuwait, and the Ministry of Civil Services and Housing in Qatar.
