The fact that the project manager for the $4.1 billion Dubai airport expansion – considered to be one of the largest construction projects worldwide – has chosen Arma-Plus technology, to manage the 400,000 tonnes of steel that is going into the construction Terminal 3, vindicates the company’s position as one of the leading manufacturers of construction-related software, says a spokesman for Arma Plus.

A+ 2004 software – a computing solution launched earlier this year by the French company, which has created several globally-used software for concrete framework – will be used on the project to ease steel management.
“We are providing our services to Al Naboodah Laing O’Rourke Group which is working on the new Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport,” he says.
The company has recruited a team of five within its research and development department, situated at its head office in Nantes-St Herblain, to ensure the successful completion of this outstanding project, says the spokesman.
In addition, Arma Plus has opened an office in Dubai, with a person in charge of the site, to follow-up the order and oversee the company’s operations in the Middle East.
“This success is the result of 20 years of experience on major sites in France and worldwide,” says the spokesman. “The Terminal 5 at London Heathrow Airport is also being built using the same technology.”
Arma Plus is regarded as a leader in software for the control of major projects in the public buildings and works sector.
The company is currently developing a revolutionary software for application in the field of reinforcing concrete. “This new product will optimize reinforcing detailing work and is fully integrated as a skill component into the ERP suite of “A+ solutions,” he explains.
Since the launch of the upgraded version of the A+2004 software, the company – which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year – has maintained an edge over the competition in niche markets the world over, he says.
Arma-Plus and its parent company Arboss, specialise in the development of computing solutions for various sectors including industry, the public buildings and works.
The group earns a turnover of 3 million euros of which 60 per cent stems from exports. The group is backed by a 25-member strong team of professionals.
