It shimmers ... Johansen on Metallic.

Jotun Saudia Company has recently launched the Jotun Metallic, adding one more finish to its already impressive kitty of exterior and interior surfaces.

The new product - unveiled by Tor Johansen, general manager, in the presence of hundreds of dealers and contractors - is a variant of Jotun's normal paints.
'Metallic provides a whole new concept in decorative effects by allowing to create an illusion of movement to the surfaces,' says Johansen. 'It is yet another example of our innovative approach and expertise in paint technology. A surface that is coated with Metallic shimmers like coloured star light in response to a variety of light sources.'
The revolutionary paint responds flawlessly to any light source, adding intensity to the surface it is applied on. The decorative paint guarantees a vibrant and dynamic look to any surface that needs a creative effect. The product - specially designed for use on interior and exterior surfaces such as plaster and concrete - can also be used as a superior topcoat on emulsion-based paints and textured paints. Metallic is also ideal for use on interior surfaces for creating special effects with the help of spotlights, says marketing manager Deepak Pai.
'Metallic has been developed keeping in mind the growing concern for environmentally-safe surfaces and is free from any sorts of hazards,' he says. The research team at Jotun - which develops the latest in paint technology - is spending millions on this aspect alone in order to come up with 100 per cent eco-friendly products.
Thanks to this policy, Jotun has been accredited by the Ministry of Health as an approved supplier of paints for hospitals in the Kingdom, he adds.
