TCM unveils faster trucks

Japanese construction equipment manufacturer TCM claims that its 11.5 to 15-tonne range of lift trucks have a greater acceleration, faster travel and lifting speeds.

“Several productivity features have been built into TCM’s new heavy-class machines, which simply translate into more work done in lesser time,” says a TCM spokesman.
This range of lift trucks are marketed in Saudi Arabia by Aljomaih Holding Company, TCM’s distributor in the Kingdom.
The spokesman continues: “Keeping in mind the aspects of driver’s comfort and safety, these machines have been built with wider visibility, lower noise level, convenient electronic-controlled automatic transmission, air drier for the brake system and one-touch parking brake with drive-through preventive warning buzzer.”
“In this heavy-class range, the FD150 is an A-class performer and is hard to beat,” comments Abdullah Al Ali, general manager of Aljomaih’s heavy equipment division.
The 15-tonne TCM FD150 can also be equipped with 20 to 40 ft telescopic side lifter for handling empty containers which are stacked two to five units high. By equipping the machine with the side-lifter, users can perform faster and neater stacking of containers and save on yard space, he says.
The FD 150 also has a host of convenience and safety features that include the suspension seat, tilt adjustable handle, documents clip, neutral safety switch, back-up buzzer, power brakes and steering, column shift direction change, self-cancelling signal lights and headlight switch combination, wide-view mast, load backrest, safety overhead guard, among others.
It can also be fitted with a central greasing system, spark arrester muffler, side shifter, fork positioner, long forks and other convenience features.
Aside from TCM, Aljomaih also represents Iveco Aifo, Merlo, Nardi and Case New Holland of Italy, Claas and MTU of Germany, Tacom of Japan, Nokka-Tume of Finland, Perkins of the UK, and Arcusin of Spain.
The firm sells a wide range of generator sets and engines; wheel-loaders; dozers and graders; concrete mixers; vibratory compactors and asphalt rollers; forklifts and telescopic handlers; marine container straddle carrier and telescopic spreaders; agri-tractors and harvesters; mowers and balers; combined seed drills and fertiliser spreaders; cultivators and disc ploughs; and trailers and auto-bale loaders to the Saudi market.
