Aljomaih Holding Company, the Riyadh-based distributor of TCM products from Japan, is now offering recently-launched FD230 and FB VII series forklifts to the Saudi market.
The versatile all-round heavy-duty FD230 forklift as well as the one to three-tonne compact and efficient electric FB VII series forklifts were launched at the Logis-Tech Tokyo 2002 Exhibition in Japan last October, where they drew keen attention from many skilled cargo-handling operators from every industry, says Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Ali, general manager of Aljomaih's heavy equipment division.
The larger 3.5 and four-tonne electric Acroba-E models, another TCM product which has gained popularity in Saudi Arabia, also attracted interest at the exhibition, he says.
"These advanced forklifts offer the advantages of a minimal turning radius, a comfortable operator's seat and a low profile, making it easy to get on and off the machine. Smooth power changes and an AC motor enable higher switchback efficiencies as well as quicker acceleration, saving time and improving productivity. The electric forklifts have a longer working time per battery change due to their highly-efficient AC motor and power-packed battery," he points out.
TCM claims that its goal is to meet the requirements of all industries for efficient material handling equipment. The firm already manufactures an extensive range of machines, some of which are custom-made for specific applications, such as for stacking cargo containers or transporting large concrete pipes, long and heavy steel beams, heavy steel coils and concrete blocks.
Aljomaih is known for the excellent after-sales services provided by its highly-qualified technical staff, well-equipped workshop and well-stocked parts department, says Al-Ali.
Aljomaih also represents Fiat Allis, Iveco Aifo & Case New Holland of Italy, Claas & MTU of Germany, TCM and Tacom of Japan, Nokka-Tume of Finland, Perkins of the UK, Merlo and Nardi of Italy, and Arcusin of Spain.
The firm sells to the Saudi market a wide range of generator sets and engines, wheel loaders, dozers and graders, concrete mixers, vibratory compactors and asphalt rollers, forklifts and telescopic handlers, marine container straddle carriers and telescopic spreaders, and agricultural equipment.
