Saudi Arabian architectural metal manufacturer Armetal Metal Industries is reinforcing its presence in the region with its role in high-profile projects in Saudi Arabia and other GCC states.

Armetal says it is currently involved in complete design and execution of projects such as the Madinah Hotel in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait's tallest building, the Arraya Tower.

"Armetal is proving itself with every single project as the perfect option whenever high quality and performance products are required," said a company spokesperson.

"With its architectural metals and facade divisions now operating under one name, Armetal is planning to further increase its weight in the region's market by setting very rigorous quality standards in order to ensure that clients receive the best service and highest performance possible, at very reasonable costs."

Ever since its inception in 1985, Armetal has built up a solid reputation as one of the best manufacturers of architectural metal products in the Middle East.

With executed projects dotting every single city in the GCC region, Armetal has become recognised as the benchmark for the sector.

"The company's first major stainless steel job, the King Fahd Airport in Dammam, gave it countrywide acclaim and exposure due to the superior execution and finishing quality," says the spokesperson.

"That quality eventually became Armetal's strong arm in the years that followed and consolidated its position as the market leader in architectural metal products."

Armetal ventured into the field of aluminium curtain-walls in 1998, setting up its facade division as a joint venture with one of the leading curtain wall systems designers in Germany.

The partnership struck gold when the company was awarded the aluminium and stainless steel packages for Sir Norman Foster's Al Faisaliah Center in Riyadh, which at the time was the tallest skyscraper project in the kingdom, the company says. "The project's sheer complexity and magnitude, in addition to Armetal's outstanding performance in its execution, paved the way for much more to come," says the spokesperson.

For the Kingdom Centre in Riyadh, which is one of the tallest towers in the Middle East now, Armetal executed stainless steel and ornamental galvanised steel works and aluminium works.

Like the Faisaliah Center, the Kingdom Centre required extremely intricate and advanced customised systems for its execution.

"Never-before-used facade construction methods were employed on both projects in order to achieve the design and aesthetic requirements of the architect, and both projects eventually consolidated Armetal's position as the facade and architectural metal manufacturer par excellence," says the company.
