THE fourth edition of The Big 5 PMV aims to draw top manufacturers and suppliers of plant, machinery and construction vehicles hoping to capitalise on the region’s construction projects, which according to Meed Projects, is worth $1.3 trillion.

Described as the largest construction machinery event in the region, The Big 5 PMV will take place from November 22 to 25 in The Arena, Sheikh Saeed Halls at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will be part of The Big 5, the Middle East’s most influential construction industry show, organised by dmg events Dubai.
The exhibition will feature a new live demonstration area, allowing key buyers from across the region and overseas to interact with leading manufacturers and suppliers and to experience the latest innovations and technologies first-hand.
A free industry conference planned alongside the event will provide trade professionals with a platform to share best practice, learn about the latest industry developments, and discuss challenges facing the region’s construction industry.
For the first time, visitors will be able to travel to The Big 5 PMV by the Dubai Metro, with the Dubai World Trade Centre metro station located adjacent to the venue.
The strong international interest in the region’s construction market has already been reflected in the support pledged by exhibitors from Asia, Europe and the Middle East to the event, with the Korean Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (Kocema) most recently confirming its support for the event.
According to industry experts, there are positive signs of recovery in the GCC construction industry that will drive the ongoing demand for machinery.
Nick Webb, director of Streamline Marketing Group, organiser of The Big 5 PMV, comments: “Now in its fourth year, The Big 5 PMV brings together construction industry professionals, plant and mechanical engineers, consultants, architects and contractors from the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa, offering unparalleled opportunities for manufacturers and dealers of construction machinery to access the construction and building community.”
