NEW solutions for the region’s power and water challenges will be the theme of the next Power-Gen Middle East, in a bid to discuss and tackle the strategic and technical issues facing the region.

The region’s premier conference and exhibition for the power and water industries, has recently announced the preliminary conference programme for the forthcoming event.
Power-Gen Middle East 2010 will bring together more than 3,000 industry professionals. The forum, to be held from October 4 to 6 at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre in Doha, Qatar, will discuss a wide range of topics – from the region’s energy markets, latest technologies and issues relating to power generation, transmission and distribution, and water.
An impressive line-up of speakers and industry professionals will deliver presentations on a range of topics and subjects covering the power and water industries, including spotlights on countries such as Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Egypt.
The strategic power track will discuss market finance and investment, critical project issues, power trading and exchange, renewable energy – the emerging market and regional nuclear power development.
The technical power track will look at industry developments including steam cycle technology, fuel flexibility, gas turbine augmentation and power grids – current and future.
The water track tackles the strategic and technical issues surrounding the water industry and its close relationship to the power sector, including desalination technologies, drivers and regulators and water re-use.
