Following the successful launch of its new planetary mixers, Steelfields has announced that it is increasing the number of models in the range.

There is now a choice of eight models with compacted output capacities from 330 litres to 3 cu m. These new planetary mixers are specially designed to keep materials in constant motion and provide rapid homogenisation of the mix. This is achieved using a powerful two or three-point mixing star.

The units incorporate reinforced pans and are fully enclosed with integral covers and spray jets to eliminate dust emissions or spillage. They are available with the option of up to four hydraulic discharge doors, as well as a choice of liner plates and paddle blades. The mixer can be fitted to virtually any new or existing plant.

Another important feature of the mixers is an optional "discharge accelerator" that will reduce discharge times by as much as 30 per cent.

Steelfields produces plant for wet batch, half wet, dry batch, wet and dry and slurry batch mixing. They come in a wide range of sizes from small mobile plant to large static plant capable of very high volume output.

Steelfields planetary mixers are already in use in the Middle East, UK and Ireland. The company's plant is currently being used on a number of projects int he region including the prestigious Dubai Marina.
