The Emirates resort in Fujairah ... Renderplas plasterers beads.

Renderplas of the UK has recently supplied its plasterers beads made of uPVC for a number of prestigious projects in the Gulf.

Among them is the beach resort for Emirates in Fujairah.

''Work on this resort is progressing well with the handover expected at the end of the year," says a spokesman for Renderplas.

He continues: ''The architect chose to specify Renderplas uPVC beads externally for the rendered elevations and internally for the wet plastering and drylined areas. Ahmed Hossam of Archon, Dubai, wanted guaranteed assurance that there would be no corrosion or staining from the beads at this coastal site. Only uPVC beads could offer this solution at an economical cost.

''The main contractor, Fujairah National Construction was supplied by Renderplas' UAE agent Majid Bukatara from its local stock in Dubai."

Another striking tower where Renderplas was specified is the Awqaf Tower in Doha, Qatar, which is nearing completion. The exterior combines curtain-walling complemented by rendered sections where Mineralite has been used, supplied and applied by Tadmur Contracting & Trading.

''Renderplas offers a range of plasterers beads made of uPVC. The advantage is that, unlike galvanised beads they do not rust and are cheaper than stainless steel beads," the spokesman says.

''uPVC beads are becoming increasingly popular in the Gulf due to the demands made by quality-conscious clients,'' he comments. ''It is all too easy to spoil a project with the wrong choice of beading and Renderplas is pleased to be contributing to the drive towards excellence of building components.''
