Show Highlights

Lightstyle
Billed to be one of the biggest to date, the show will feature several thousand products and designs, many of which are being introduced for the first time in the region.

On display will be Megaman energy-saving lamps from Neonlite Electronic & Lighting; the latest in architectural lighting systems and solutions from Tecon. Austrian manufacturer Krauss Chandelier’s Sky light weighing at 150 kg promises a new vision to lighting with its ephemeral design, which is a combination of round and irregular shapes, crystals, halogen bulbs and Plexiglas. Moonlight will be introducing its new stone-look range, which can fit into any environment. Brumberg will display its full range of Lighting from Technical, LED’s, fibre optics, architectural lighting as well as its latest classical range “Deco,” which will be launched at the show for the first time in the region.
Philips will exhibit the most innovative LED solutions alongside a variety of lighting solutions that can be used in sports applications, offices, shops, roads and tunnels. Philips will also introduce its new luminary lighting called Savio, which enables the creation of ‘personal light’. This combines a personalised lighting experience with cutting-edge technology and provides an interesting perspective on future lighting inventions.

Bathrooms & Kitchens
UAE-based RAK Ceramics – one of the largest exhibitors – will launch several new bathroom collections including the “Loop New Wave” collection.
Victoria & Albert Baths will be using the Dubai trade fair to introduce a new and distinctive “sit tub” – an innovative design with a contoured bench seat for side-by-side shared bathing. AMR Helmy will exhibit its newest kitchen design – the Indian kitchen. Bati Bali will put on display an exclusive range of stone basins.
Kohler, a worldwide leader in plumbing products, will be presenting its new ‘Artist Editions’ that aim to spark the imaginations of designers for bathrooms. The worldwide leader in spas, Jacuzzi, will also be displaying a comprehensive and imaginative range of bathroom suites, whirlpool baths and shower enclosures.
Teka Kuechentechnik the world’s largest producer of luxury kitchen sinks and built-in appliances, will showcase some of its finest ranges available, which will displayed to full effect throughout the show by a celebrity chef from Spain.
Sultan Group Accessories Trading, a leading supplier of furniture and kitchen accessories and fittings, will display its Franke sink, mixers and appliances from Switzerland along with its Staron Kitchens and Haatz cooker hoods.
General Electric will exhibit its upscale refrigerators including the stainless steel wrapped refrigerator, the Monogram, and the ClimateKeeper, one of the most advanced refrigeration systems on the market.

Hometech
Apart from eye-catching product lines, ISH Hometech will include live cooking stations, launches and presentations. A new addition to this year’s event is the new ‘Hometech theatre’, used by select exhibitors to inspire an audience of architects, interior designers and retail buyers.
One of the hot items on show is a five-in-one mobile handset from TCL Corp. Described as the perfect communication companion for the mobile executive, it is equipped with colour display, an integrated camera, video capability, email and WAP.
A multitude of other products will also be showcased including: stainless steel refrigerators from General Electric; ceramic glass hobs from Highland Cooktops; stainless steel Iridium double dishdrawer from Fisher & Paykel; and the latest coffee machine from Zanuussi.
Other household electrical appliances will be shown at the Olympic Group ‘live’ show kitchen, which will have all appliances functioning, running and useable for visitors to see and test out.
Sonex will display its range of gadgets such as plasma screens, sport machines, LCD monitors, massage cushions and portable CD players.
The show will also feature some of the most functional and time-saving appliances, be it the Upright, Instant Steam system from Amptek or the Ecomop– the first-of-its-kind Instant Steam Cleaners; built in appliances from Miele, such as dishwashers and washing machines or easy running, exclusive styling iron devices from Siemens.
Additionally, leading vacuum cleaner manufacturer Dyson, will be using Hometech Middle East to launch a product that will once again push out the boundaries of vacuum cleaner technology.

Landscaping
One of the more exciting exhibitors in this show is Zimsculpt.com, a gallery based in Zimbabwe. The firm is renowned the world over for its exquisite stone sculptures which could add a lot of pizzazz for the home or office building, says a spokesman. Products on display will range from African themes to the more contemporary.
For visitors interested in water world, Oase – a market leader in the area of garden and pond technology – will show visitors how to create fascinating living habitats in their gardens which promises to last for decades.
While another participant – Global Furniture Solutions Dubai – is expected to display commercial grade furniture for both indoor and outdoor spaces in the Middle East.
For the more commercial nurseries, Smiemans Projecten, an established Dutch family company, will showcase its ‘High Light’ construction, a unique curved glasshouse concept, which works well for garden centres.

Hardware & Tools
This year’s Hardware & Tools expo will see a high profile Spanish trade delegation making its maiden appearance. With 10 companies already sharing the stand, another three Spanish firms have decided to exhibit independently.
Local agents also play a major role at this year’s exhibition including Dubai-based Arwani Trading Company, representing some of the bigger brands.
Another major exhibitor is DeWalt Industrial Tools, which will exhibit its vast range of power tools.
Hedo Group – representing Egypt – will exhibit a range of new power tools and welding equipment. The group represents welding electrode manufacturer Esweco Factory;  Alex Wire Factory, and Peco factory (all in Egypt), and SAGP Factory (Saudi Arabia).
Unimar, will showcase four major brands including Spit from France, Casals from Spain, Freud from Italy, and Rex Tools from the Netherlands.
Romanian manufacturer Ivar Pro will launch a range of innovative woodworking tools. New exhibitors to the show include Plano Europe, which will be showcasing its products along side several other Italian companies supported by the Federation of Turin.
