Daewoo Heavy Industries has recently released the Mega-V series of its wheel loaders on the Gulf market as well as other markets worldwide.

The new series offers perfect performance which will make it the centre of the work site, says a spokesman for Saudi Diesel Marketing (SDM), the distributor for Daewoo wheel loaders, excavators and forklifts in the kingdom.

The new series offers high performance, low emission and an air inter-cooled turbo-charged engine which has greatly increased its output. A highly efficient and performance Z-bar linkage system provides enhanced controllability, he says.

''These state-of-the-art features combine to give the highest performance possible. Moreover, powerful digging, fast boom-up speed capacity and increased stability all combine to produce greater productivity," the spokesman says. ''Similarly, the new series boasts of a highest dump height and reach in its class. This combined with power and speed makes loading a dumptruck an easy and speedy process.

''The hydraulic pressure and power has been ideally balanced to produce maximum digging force, resulting in smooth performance when digging and loading sand, gravel and other concrete materials.

''The boom/bucket control system automatically controls the bucket position and the boom is automatically returned to the desired position. As a result, the boom height and bucket plane is automatically returned after a loading operation making repeat operations very efficient.''

He continues: ''The sophisticated transmission permits the operator to perform the tasks at the ideal engine rpm. The power transfer is highly efficient and allows for both manual and automatic operation as operating needs change.

''The series has an axle oscillation support system so the rear axle can maintain the machine in the horizontal position even in rough terrain achieving safe and improved operating and driving performance.

''The machine employs engines manufactured by Daewoo which satisfy all domestic and international exhaust gas requirements and are environmentally-friendly, providing outstanding performance under all-weather and environmental conditions achieving low noise and low fuel consumption ratings.

Besides, the serviceability aspect has been handled well for easy operation and adaptability. Checking the engine, radiator, hydraulic pump and the various valves is convenient. Access to the filters, air cleaner, turbo cleaner, fuel camp and the lubrication points is also easy, making servicing the machine convenient.

''The comfort factor has also not been overlooked. An ISO standard unibody cabin has been installed for the safety of the operator. The ergonomically-designed operating cab provides the operator the most space in its class. The wide front and rear visibility allows for optimal productivity.''

The interior has been luxuriously designed including easy operation monitor panels, mono-lever, tilt steering column and passenger car-styled high-quality suspension seat.
