Bahrain Marina ... being developed at an investment of $527 million.

Bahrain Marina Development Company has laid the foundation stone for its ambitious mixed-use project which will boast 274 luxurious freehold residential units, 304 deluxe hotel rooms and 1,769 underground parking spaces, in addition to a 182-berth marina, and a 3,200-sq-m clubhouse.

The Bahrain Marina development, which will spread over an area of more than 256,000 sq m, will also offer 192 retail units, including international shops, luxurious restaurants, renowned cafes, as well as a commercial complex hosting 33 stores.

The launch ceremony for the BD200-million ($527 million) mixed-use Bahrain Marina development was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa along with other senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Khalid said the eastern coast region will witness a qualitative leap upon the completion of the Bahrain Marina project and other existing projects adjacent to this vital coast located on the Arabian Gulf, to collectively form a landmark and an urban waterfront in the capital, Manama.

Bahrain Marina Development Company Chairman Khalid Mohammed Najibi affirmed that the project, once completed, will provide a unique lifestyle for its residents and visitors, and become a major destination in the region.
