UAE-based developer Arada has awarded the construction contract for The Boulevard, an upscale residential complex featuring around 600 units at its Sharjah mega-community Aljada.
Spread over a 24-million-sq-ft area, Aljada is located on the last large plot of land in the heart of New Sharjah. It houses numerous residential districts, as well as retail, hospitality, entertainment, sporting, educational and healthcare components, all set within a green urban masterplan.
The Boulevard, which is located in the edge of the ultra-contemporary East Village district of Aljada, comprises three apartment blocks, featuring a wealth of amenities and surrounded by lush green landscaping, says the developer.
These buildings boast a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with a wide range of sizes and floorplans targeted at singles, young couples and families.
Arada says the AED180-million ($49 million) contract was awarded to Dubai-based Al Ashram Contracting, a leading construction company.
Work on The Boulevard will begin immediately, and homes in the project will be handed over by the end of 2022, it states.
On the contract award, Chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi says: “This milestone is evidence of our determination to move forward rapidly with our construction plans at one of the UAE’s fastest-growing communities. These distinctive and high-end homes in one of the most desirable parts of Aljada have been welcomed by investors and end-users and will be a valuable addition to Sharjah’s property landscape on completion.”
All apartments come with smart home technology as standard, while the complex also includes a fully-equipped health club and a shared swimming pool, as well as a number of cafes and retail outlets at ground-floor level.
The nine-storey blocks are located next to Aljada’s main avenue, an elegant tree-lined street complete with shops, restaurants and cafes, it adds.
Meanwhile, Arada has launched Nasma Central, a lifestyle hub within its Nasma Residences community in Sharjah.
The lifestyle hub was inaugurated by Sheikh Sultan, who also unveiled the focal point of Nasma Central: a 15-m-high manmade hilltop location and memorial pavilion with impressive views of the surrounding neighbourhoods. NamedSheikh Ahmed Pavilion, it provides an elevated vantage point with dual views over Nasma Residences and Masaar, Arada’s third community, as well as the landmark Sharjah Mosque, he notes.
At 55,000 sq ft in size, Nasma Central is designed to provide both residents as well as visitors from the surrounding area, with access to a mix of retail and dining outlets. as well as a beautifully designed destination park with a host of leisure and sporting facilities, says the developer.
Nasma Central overlooks the beautifully designed Nasma Central Park, which offers 450,000 sq ft of landscaped green space, containing a number of sporting facilities.
