RAK Ceramics has reached a new milestone for selling 50 million pieces of bathware worldwide, following its recent record of having manufactured ceramic tiles to cover a staggering one billion sq m, since production commenced.
To better visualise RAK Ceramic’s reach in bathware: a day’s production can meet all the sanitary requirements of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, and 500 pieces of bathware are produced globally every hour. Astonishingly, 80 per cent of global production comes from Ras Al Khaimah’s plants, which makes up to 40 per cent of the overall sales to Europe.
“The demand is such because RAK Ceramics’ bathware range is noted for its high quality materials and its use of the latest and most sophisticated in manufacturing to produce the most diversified portfolio of products that exceed international standards of excellence,” he said.

In line with this, the company’s latest initiative was the launch of a new range of environment-friendly bathware products that conform to key international standards for water efficiency.
The range has been introduced with a four-litre full flush water system against the traditional six litres that helps cut water consumption by 33 per cent. Additionally, the bathware suites have been officially rated with four stars by the WELS (water efficiency labelling and standards) Australia, which is a scheme that registers and labels products for water efficiency according to set standards. RAK Ceramics has also secured Nata (National Association of Testing Authorities) accreditation from Australia that certifies the company’s bathware testing laboratory is in compliance with Nata requirements.
