RAK Ceramics, the world’s largest ceramics manufacturing company, says it has the most complete selection of environment-friendly bathware products, besides having a diverse portfolio of innovative and high-quality products that exceed international standards of excellence.

The company has made a name for itself as a trendsetter in the industry for its eclectic range that caters to diverse tastes and requirements.

“Encompassing everything from bathware to ceramic tiles, RAK Ceramics’ collections are engineered in collaboration with international designers and made with the most advanced technology,” says a spokesman for the company.

RAK Ceramics’ bathware range is notable for its high-quality materials and its use of the latest and most sophisticated machinery in manufacturing products.

Metropolitan line ... popular with clients.

“End products are perfect for both modern and traditional homes, commercial locations and landmark destinations; each guaranteed to uphold RAK Ceramics’ reputation as the best in the market and join a complete range of bathware solutions,” says the spokesman.

Its most popular product lines include the Opulence, Compact-rimless, Venice, Rondo, Infinity, Metropolitan and the Series 600 series. These mark a favourite few, with collections to fit even niche markets. There are solutions that range from more opulent to more budget-friendly, more commercial to perfect for the home.

“Whatever the product, each is made with a complex mixture of materials that results in an end-product that is highly hygienic, fire-proof, stain-proof, rust-proof and non-fading in collections that are resistant to acids and alkalis. The most sophisticated and ground-breaking technology ensures the highest quality of products, with an emphasis on uniformity and attention to detail,” the spokesman adds.

RAK Ceramics’ bathware products are manufactured from clay minerals mainly aluminium silicate or silica sand) complemented with other minerals, additives, fillers and fluxing agents (non-plastic) and glazed elements. Vitreous china models are manufactured using high-quality bar clays, kaolin, silica sand and feldspar while ball clays, kaolin clay, quartz and pre-fired clay make the high-quality fire clay slip that produces the heavy-duty large-size wash basins, and kitchen and laboratory sinks to get a fine and perfect shape.

RAK Ceramics has a strong technical collaboration with the Italy-based Sacmi, which is regarded as one of the world’s best suppliers of the latest production equipment and technologies for the production of bathware. “RAK Ceramics was the first in the region to introduce high-pressure casting machines and robot glazing equipment to be able to produce uniform bathware pieces with a consistent finish, offering a superior quality of products in large volumes,” he says.

Beyond an exceptional product, RAK Ceramics presents an equally green one as well. As a founding member of Emirates Green Building Council, the company offers a complete selection of environment-friendly bathware products, demonstrating its dedication to enhancing its surroundings, whether through its tiles or with its impact on the environment.

The Opulence collection ... a trendsetter.

“It is in that sentiment that the company’s bathware range has been launched with a four-litre full flush water system against the traditional water full flush of six litres. That equals a reduction of 33 per cent water consumption, and the bathware suites are officially rated with four stars by the WELS (Water Efficiency Labeling and Standards) Australia, which is a scheme that registers and labels products with water efficiency in accordance to set standards,” states the spokesman.

RAK Ceramics has also secured the Nata (National Association of Testing Authorities) accreditation from Australia that certifies RAK Ceramics’ Bathware Testing Laboratory is in compliance with Nata requirements.

In addition, every step of production before firing is recyclable. RAK Ceramics also operates several effluent treatment plants (ETP) to recycle and reuse wastewater generated from factories and domestic sources. The company adopts several programmes to minimise the disposal of waste material into the environment with waste segregation schemes and various recycling programmes.

The company has been involved in various major sanitary ware projects due to its level of expertise, range of solutions and eco-friendly options. Some of the worldwide developments include Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Arabian Ranches Dubai, Dubai Jumeirah Village, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Sports City, the national housing project on Yas Island, all in the UAE; Princess Nora University and Saudi Binladin projects for residential societies in Saudi Arabia; York University and Renaissance Hotel in the UK.

“RAK Ceramics is considered a trendsetter for a reason. Whether it is in the range of products, ways of production or in environment-friendly initiatives, the company is relentless in finding ways to stand above rival producers and ultimately becoming the creators of a new generation of bathware solutions. Its success has been evident based on its longevity, reach and ability to foresee trends in the market before they occur. The company continues to grow beyond borders and it comes as no surprise that RAK Ceramics is the largest manufacturer of ceramics and bathware in the world,” concludes the spokesman.
