VICTAULIC has added a 168.3-mm (six-inch) coupling to its FireLockEZ Style 009H rigid coupling for fire protection piping systems.

The coupling is approved by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), FM (Factory Mutual) and VdS, an independent institution that ensures safety in the fields of fire protection and security. It is also listed by cULus (a UL mark for Canada and the US) for fire protection services up to 2517kPa/365psi (depending upon size).

The Style 009H rigid coupling is part of the Victaulic installation-ready product line and arrives on the jobsite ready to install. With no need to disassemble prior to installation and no loose parts to drop or lose, the Style 009H allows a speedy installation, enabling contractors to reduce man-hours by 45 per cent and increase jobsite safety and efficiency, says the US-based manufacturer. Its design allows for faster, more consistent installations – with or without power tools – for a right-first-time solution that avoids rework, it adds.

With this latest addition, the Style 009H is now available in diameters ranging from 42.4 to 168.3 mm.
