BERGER Paints launched its new floor coating system range at the Gulf International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Bahrain last month.
The new range includes hard-wearing, abrasion-resistant coatings available in a wide variety of colours, with excellent mechanical properties. Apart from protecting concrete surfaces, the coating system also helps tide over these limitations without affecting the intrinsic strength of the floors.
“The Berger floor coatings range finds use in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, food processing, pharmaceuticals, heavy and light equipment and textile industries. The system can also be used in commercial areas such as automobile garages, hospitals, warehouses, retail showrooms, kitchens, offices, and hotel lobbies,” says B Krishnakumar of Berger Paints.
The benefits of the Berger floor coatings include dust prevention, ease of cleaning, improved hygiene, aesthetic appeal, better illumination, smooth and seamless floors, low retention of dust and dirt, resistance to water and detergents, enhanced resistance to oil seepages, enhanced resistance to chemical solvents, and improved resistance to abrasion, weathering and impact.
One of the most recognised paint brands in the world, Berger Paints was formed 250 years ago in the UK by a young German entrepreneur named Lewis Berger. The company has since then not only spread across most parts of the world, but has also in the process painted many significant landmarks across the globe.
The Berger Paints operations in the GCC is a subsidiary of Berger International, Singapore, and part of the Asian Paints group of companies. This group is among the 10 largest decorative coatings companies in the world and boasts of one of the largest research and development centres in the Asia-Pacific region.
Landmarks painted by Berger in Bahrain include the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, Shaikh Hamad Causeway, NBB Tower, Bahrain Parliament building, Marina Mall, Bahrain Mall, Bahrain University at Sakhir, Novotel Al Dana, Choueifat School in Amwaj Islands, and the Gulf Air Simulator Centre.
