Haulotte opens Dubai subsidiary

Haulotte Top Lift (HTL) telehandlers ... robust and operator friendly.

Haulotte Group, a European leader and the world number three supplier of aerial work platforms, has recently opened a subsidiary in Dubai in line with its international growth strategy.

This new subsidiary – Haulotte Middle East, which was launched last November – is part of the Haulotte Group’s global policy of being close to its customers in a bid to understand better their expectations and to provide them with solutions that are adapted to their environment, according to a spokesman for the company.
“With this operation, Haulotte Group reinforces its active presence in the Middle East, which is in the midst of a construction boom,” he says.
Haulotte Middle East, which is managed by Arthur Danelian, covers the Middle East, Maghreb and African countries, where the group is keen to be present to meet the rapidly rising demand in the market.
Danelian, who has been the sales manager for the Middle East area for four years within the Haulotte Group, has actively promoted and introduced the Haulotte brand in this sector and extended its distributor network. His prime mission will be to define the sales strategy, and popularise the entire Haulotte equipment range in the area. This range includes a complete line-up of aerial work platforms (over 50 models), Haulotte Top Lift (HTL) telehandlers and the multi-job full-rotating backhoe loaders.
Among the various access equipment it provides are the diesel-powered big booms – the HA 41 PX articulating platform and the H 43 TPX (43 m) telescopic platform.
Elaborating on these products, the spokesman says: “Designed to meet all working requirements at heights of 41 and 43 m, both platforms are loaded with features such as:
• Complete safety, through continuous optimum movement management, a new platform load controller, four-degree tilt alarm in all positions, hydraulic platform compensation and stability management in all positions for more comfort;
• Manoeuvrability and accuracy, thanks to their fully proportional, simultaneous controls for greater accuracy and smoothness in movement and optimised performance in all working positions;
• Compact and steerable, as they feature four-wheel drive and steering, with swinging extendable axles, the shortest turning radius on the market, simultaneous controls and large ground clearance. They are extremely compact for access to tricky worksites; and
• Higher productivity, as they reach 41 m and 43 m in a record time. The HA 41 PX uses its high articulation point to negotiate around any obstacle and uses the boom articulation design to come back down without using the arm.”
“With both booms and fly jib range (140 degrees), the HA 41 PX and the H 43 TPX can be used for many purposes such as building sites, shipbuilding and the ports, and chemical, petrochemical and aeronautics industries,” he says. “Offering maximum safety, the big booms of these platforms respond to the demands of the latest labour regulations, European (EC marking, EN 280) and international standards like ANSI, CSA and AS.”
The Haulotte Group is also diversifying its range of products with its HTL telescopic handlers for lifting and handling equipment. The new handlers integrate every technological innovation developed in the field of aerial work platforms, which also ensures user comfort and a high level of safety for handler operators, the spokesman points out.
These new handlers bring a wide range of innovations to their market in terms of compactness, significant reduction in noise and carbon dioxide (CO2) emission levels, reliability and ease of use and transportation.
With lifting capacities of up to 4 tonnes and lifting heights of 17 m, the HTL telehandlers can be rapidly fitted with multiple accessories like forks, simple or toothless buckets, work tools, hooked brackets, metal windscreen protectors and side-mounted work tool containers, which offer good manoeuvrability, work autonomy and numerous other advantages.

Stability & safety
“Thanks to their standard equipment, HTL handlers offer excellent stability – regardless of the terrain surface. This lateral stability is the combined result of the automatic locking of the rear deck rotation, the progressive movement deceleration system for limiting rearward travel, and the lateral tilt corrector,” the spokesman explains. “The two forward stabilisers boost this stability in all working configurations and their independent operation allows them to rapidly adapt to all types of ground at any time, while making blocking possible up to a mast angle of 20 degrees.
“The Haulotte Group is breaking new ground and raising the levels of standard equipment with a rear deck locking system, thus reinforcing its stability. This stiffening of the two axles more than doubles the usual stabilisation surface.
“The HTL telescopic handlers assist the operator in all operating positions with numerous visual and audible indicators. The clearly identified ‘travel’ and ‘worksite’ modes make manoeuvring safer by avoiding any possible confusion and prevent any unforeseen lowering of the stabilisers. With the assistance of all these control indicators for overloading, stability and reversing, the operator can truly focus on his work.”

Comfort & manoeuvrability
The operators cabins are fitted with every means to ensure comfort including ventilation, air-conditioning (optional), adjustable seats and storage space. These cabs are ROPS and FOPS (roll over and falling objects protection systems) fitted, spacious and sound-proofed. The ergonomics of the operating position were specifically studied to enhance efficiency with all of the controls being immediately accessible and a multi-function controller allowing precise one-handed operation through simple or combined movements. In addition, electronic assistance allows absorption of all dynamic effects.
“The integration of the latest technologies makes driving the HTL telescopic handlers considerably easier where the operator can control his actions and his environment. The progressive nature of the hydrostatic transmission, precision of the power-assisted steering and the manoeuvrability of the joystick allow full use of the exceptional capabilities of the four-wheel drive and steering with ease.
“The ‘load sensing-flow sharing’ hydraulic system guarantees optimal flexibility and power in all movements, which are carried out with perfect progression. The ‘inching’ slow approach pedal allows for smooth, precise manoeuvres and flexible braking,” he adds
The HTL telescopic handlers are designed to “handle” all environments. Regardless of the nature of the ground and terrain obstacles, its four-wheel drive and steering provide power and manoeuvrability. Its tilt correction function provides horizontal stabilisation, while its high ground clearance enables the handler to traverse the roughest terrain.
“Its power and exceptional stability enables the HTL handler to considerably widen its load capabilities where it can go further and reach higher with heavier loads. Powered by a high-output, economical diesel engine, load-lifting and placing operations can be carried out with great precision, regardless of the height or distance involved,” the spokesman states.
The easy opening of the huge hood ensure optimal access to engine components and peripherals for maintenance. Filters, oil supply, the hydraulic system, fuel tank are all within easy reach, while all maintenance tasks like cleaning, re-loading can be performed very easily, he adds.
