Hempel Paints, a world-class leader in marine, protective and decorative paint technology, have announced a new venture business partnership with Al Zayani Commercial Services for the distribution of Hempel brands in Bahrain.
With the opening of a new Hempel decorative showroom in Sitra in January 2005, Al Zayani will be the sole agent for the selling and distribution of all Hempel world-class brands in Bahrain.
“Hempel marine, industrial and decorative products have been successfully sold and marketed in Bahrain several years and have a reputation for superior quality and performance,” says group vice president Chris Hutton.
“With the building sector expanding so rapidly and Bahrain fast becoming a gateway into the Gulf, it is the perfect opportunity to bring new products, services and ideas to the market,” says president of Al Zayani Commercial Services, Afnan Zayani. “We expect that our partnership will prove to be both innovative and very successful.”
As part of its efforts to strengthen its stand in the market, the company has participated in the recently concluded Home Style 2004 Exhibition, and will also participate in a number of seminars in the first quarter of 2005 where the Hempel decorative, industrial and marine products will be introduced to users and consumers.
Recently, the company put on display its new portfolio of decorative brands at the Home Style 2004 Exhibition in Bahrain.
These products as well as the full range of Hempel marine, protective and decorative products will be available from this year at the new Hempel showroom in Sitra, located opposite the new Sitra Mall, says a spokesman.
The new decorative products – suited for interiors and exteriors – will be available at the new showroom and will include Platine (a range of extremely high quality building protection products), Dana (a range of pure acrylic emulsions that offer very high performance) and Topaz (a range of acrylic emulsions and textures, alkyd enamels, primers, undercoats and fillers).
Also on display will be CASA, a range of innovative decorative textures and conventional paints that can be used in any number of ways to produce final finishes reminiscent of the plasters commonly found in and around the Mediterranean area.
CASA offers the villa owner a distinctive and unusual finish as well as superior exterior protection, says the spokesman.
Fusions range of water based and innovative interior special effects are also on display at the event.
The Hempel Group of Companies was established by JC Hempel in Copenhagen, Denmark in July 1915, when just prior to his 21st birthday he became Denmark’s youngest licensed wholesaler and one of the first manufacturers of ready-made marine paints.
With 24 factories, 53 sales offices and 150 stock points strategically located around the world, the Hempel Group is a leader in the production and sales of protective coatings within the marine, container, yacht, decorative and protective market segments.
Hempel has a dedicated world-class product assortment for the versatile protective segment – thoroughly tested and proven to be among the best within the industry.
Hempel’s Protective Product assortment comprises: epoxy, polyurethane, zinc silicate, alkyd, acrylic, shop-primer and an extensive range of waterborne anti-corrosive products.
In line with the company’s mission statement “our products are developed, tested, applied and expected to perform: By thinking ahead, we protect valuable assets and sell our customers peace of mind. We provide pro-active protection,” says the spokesman.
Hempel’s protective coatings cover a wide range of applications in the industrial world. The field of activity includes structures as diverse as offshore constructions, wind turbines, bridges, rail cars and petrochemical plants.
Regardless of the shape or size of the objects to be coated, it is Hempel’s aim to provide the customer with the best solution for his needs. Therefore the starting point and the basis for the proposed solution will always be the client’s requirements.
Hempel’s global presence allows it to offer both global and regional approaches to coating requirements. Hempel operates with a global assortment, which means that the products are available from all major Hempel stock points. This means that a uniform standard can be used worldwide, he adds.
