The Beumer Group has signed up top European specialist in the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) sector V-Line along with its Middle Eastern unit to help strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia.
 
An international leader in the manufacture of intralogistics systems for conveying, loading, palletising, packaging, sortation, and distribution, Beumer Group boasts an annual sales of €1 billion ($1.06 billion).
 
With a 5,400-strong workforce, Beumer Group and its group companies provide customers with key system solutions and an extensive customer support network across a wide range of industries including bulk materials and piece goods, food/non-food, construction, mail order, post, and airport baggage handling.
 
As its new partner, the Jubail-based V-Line Middle East will be supporting Beumer in all its projects in Saudi Arabia as well help serve its local customers better. 
 
The partnership comes at a time when Beumer is expanding its activities and customer support in the kingdom with a focus on the cement, building material and petrochemical industries as well as minerals and mining. As per the deal, support will be provided by V-Line Europe and its regional subsidiary. 
 
Lauding the tieup, Beumer said the new partner’s customer base and expertise are perfectly matched to its business areas. 
 
"V-Line will support us in our projects in Saudi Arabia. This partnership will bring us closer to customers and strengthen our customer service in key industries," remarked its Director of Sales Andre Tissen. 
 
"Through V-Line Middle East we can offer our customers in Saudi Arabia access to a network of local specialized suppliers, augmenting our range of services," he stated.
 
V-Line, which began as a small company in northern Germany in 1979, now has more than 200 employees worldwide. Based in Sehnde near Hanover, it offers end-to-end supply chains for companies in 20 countries. 
 
In addition to Saudi Arabia, the company has subsidiaries in other countries of the Middle East, plus customer service centers in the Gulf region, US, Mexico and Brazil, said Tissen. .
