Mammut Building Systems, considered to be the largest manufacturer of pre-engineered steel buildings (PEBs) in the UAE, is establishing itself as the new market leader in the country.

Since moving to its new state-of-the-art plant in Sharjah's Hamriyah Free Zone, Mammut has recruited some of the most experienced staff in the PEB industry. It is currently doubling the covered area of its new factory and is installing a continuous foaming machine to produce polyurethane injected sandwich panels.

Muayyad Al Khudairi, general manager and a 30-year veteran of the PEB industry, comments: "Our entry in the sandwich panel business, coupled with the economy of the continuous foaming process for manufacturing sandwich panels, will enable us to reach our target of capturing 60 per cent of the PEB market in the UAE by the end of 2003."

Mammut already offers the most competitive prices for the pre-engineered steel buildings in the UAE, he says, and has recently beefed up its customer service department to ensure a smooth transaction cycle for its buyers, from time of receiving a request for quotation to the time the Mammut building is properly erected.

Mammut claims to be the only PEB manufacturer that offers its buildings on the basis of supply and erection, giving contractors the opportunity of one-source responsibility directly from the manufacturer. In addition to having a sales and support team dedicated to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Mammut has appointed a team totally dedicated to the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Each team comprises a sales manager, a sales support engineer, an erection specialist and a secretary. This is in addition to a construction manager totally dedicated to the erection of Mammut buildings when the contract is on a "supply and erection" basis. "With this level of customer support and service, no other PEB manufacturer can challenge Mammut. Our response cycle to all aspects of the transaction is guaranteed to be superior to the competition every time," adds Khudairi.

Mammut's current monthly production capacity is 3,000 tonnes of finished buildings which is equivalent to 100,000 sq m of building roof area. The plant is currently operating at 70 per cent capacity and is expected to reach its full production capacity during the first quarter of 2003.

"The quality of Mammut's building components has been upgraded and is now by far more superior than other well-known PEB manufacturers in the region," claims Khudairi. "We invite all consultants and contractors to compare our components and accessories with those of our competitors to be absolutely certain."

Mammut calls upon all consultants, contractors, developers and owners launching a building project to send their enquiries to sales@mammut.ae, promising a swift response and a thorough quotation with clear proposal drawings.
